DISTRICT 5 NOVEMBER NEWS

Dear Sisters,

As November begins we find ourselves in a whirlwind of activity !  With so much going on I want to only hit some highlights here.

I have attached an updated electronic copy of the 24-25 Chapter Directory. This Directory was in the President's binder and given out at the District Workshop on October 5th. Please note that some of the District Lodge Officers emails were incorrectly listed. Presidents, please print that page and replace it in your binders. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The District Lodge is well underway with our visitations. We have already visited Alexander, Nike and Chryssida. We look forward to seeing our Sisters of Agape Chapter tomorrow night and then on to Aulis and Xanthus the following week. On November 21st we will be with our Sisters of Altes. It is wonderful to get to spend some time with our Sisters throughout the District.

Salute to Women Nomination Forms is due on Monday, December 2nd! Please see attached.  Every chapter should try to nominate someone. The event is on March 2nd.

Saturday, November 9th is the Fifth District Ahepa Cancer Research Foundation Gala Celebration at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.  While the RSVP date has passed, it is not too late to donate to this very worthy cause. Please go to fifthdistrictahepa-crf.org to contribute as a chapter or individually. Also, as a reminder, some of our chapters have not returned their Arcade Video Raffle tickets yet. They must be received by Saturday at the Gala. The drawing is being pulled on November 12th in Wilmington.

Our District Education Foundation is putting together a Recipe Book. Please see the attached form if you would like to contribute. And Speaking of Education, the DOP Education Foundation (National) has a Book Club!  Please see attached flyer for their Zoom event on November 18th featuring Yvette Manessis Corporon, author of "Daughter of Ruins."

There are so many great activities being sponsored by our chapters. I have attached many of the flyers and hope we can all support each other when possible. We have such an active District. Keep up the good work! From blanket making, trivia & magic, holiday shops and Greek food sales and Jingo we are quite an impressive bunch!!
