Dear Sisters,

Happy New Year !!!!

With the holiday season winding down, I hope you had a chance to enjoy some special time with family and friends. We ,here in District Five are so blessed to be part of such a vibrant group of Sisters who remain so active and steadfast to the goals of our organization.  May the New Year bring you much joy, health, happiness  and a renewed sense of spirit for  the Daughters of Penelope !  We have accomplished so much and I know that  2025 will be one to remember !

We have some upcoming dates to keep in mind:

• January 27, 2025-  Fifth District Cancer Research Foundation General Assembly. 6:30 pm at the Colonial Diner in East Brunswick. Every chapter should try to send 2 people.

• January 29, 2025- Lodge Visitation to Tethys, #229  Piscataway at 7 pm

• February 1, 2025- Lodge Visitation to Kronos # 188 Clifton, NJ  Noon

• February 1, 2025- - 75th Anniversary Jubilee Celebration of Nike #230 of Cherry Hill, NJ at the Adelphia Restaurant in Deptford, NJ

• February 8, 2025- Comedian Angelo Tsarouchas hosted by Alexander #250 Randolph at the Knoll Country Club Boonton, NJ

• February 15, 2025 Comedian Gus Constandelis hosted by Tethys #229 in Piscataway at St. George Church

• February 22, 2025- AHEPA Family Hockey Night hosted by AHEPA Hudson #108 and the DOP and AHEPA District Lodges. Newark, NJ

• March 2, 2025- Salute to Women honoring Dr. Joanne  Varratos - Diamantidis.  Pines Manor Edison, NJ

• March 22, 2025- Ahepa Family Bowling Outing- Hosted by the DOP and AHEPA District Lodges at Bowlero in N. Brunswick

• April 26, 2025- DOP District 5  Spring Luncheon  The Grain House Basking Ridge, NJ

• June 20-22,2025- District Convention  in Fort Lee, NJ

Please make every effort to support your fellow sisters in their events as well as the Hockey and Bowling events which are offered by our District Lodges to foster AHEPA Family Unity here in the Garden District.
